Ortho Flex Western Pleasure/ Show Saddle 16 inch seat

This is an Ortho-Flex western show or pleasure saddle. It was made by the original company when Len Brown, the creator of Ortho-Flex, still ran the company. The Seat measures 16 inches & it has an 8 wide gullet. There is two inches of clearance between the two panels at the top to allow plenty of room for withers without pinching. The Flex Panel Skirts are 27 long. The Saddle weighs about 30 lbs. It includes wide steel with leather covered extra wide padded stirrups with cushion in the treads. The seat of the saddle is padded with supracore and has the seam indent down to center to increase rider comfort when wearing blue jeans with a seam. The riggings are secured to the tree for maximum safety and all fittings are. It has beautiful conchos and silver accents on the fenders and skirt. The tooling on the fenders and the skirt is beautifully done. From the Ortho-Flex website: The flexible panels of the Ortho-Flex saddles provide three times the weight bearing surface of traditional saddles, which spreads the weight of the saddle and rider over a larger surface area. This reduces the weight per square inch on the horse and distributes this weight more evenly reducing pressure points for the horse. The flex panels also move with the horse while riding. This allows the horse a much greater range of motion and reduces friction caused by the saddle. These features combine to prevent bruising, swelling, dry spots and white hairs seen on horses with improperly fitting saddles. This also allows your horse to perform better and cures saddle resistance problems such as head-tossing, inability to extend, bucking or outright resistance to being saddled and mounted.
