Custom Handmade Western Ranch Saddle

Handmade by John Fitzgerald – Eagle, Colorado. I spoke with the saddle maker recently and he made this saddle in the Fall of 2015 for a local cowboy. It ended up in my shop after a failed loan. I can try to get additional information from the maker if needed. Includes leather saddlebags – they look new. Saddle maker estimates he’s made 50-60 saddles over the years. He only makes saddles for locals with a referral and doesn’t advertise. Took quite a bit of work on my end to track him down. Saddle was made to fit a high withered horse. Rawhide covered wood tree. Real sheep’s wool. Similar to modern semi-quarter horse bars (his words). Seat size: 15 (from cantle to base of horn). Cantle height: 6.25. Seat material: Smooth Leather.
