VINTAGE 15.5 HANDMADE BIG HORN WESTERN SHOWithPLEASURE SADDLE

The holiday’s are quickly approaching and we are trying to get everyone ready. That means we will be offering new items and saddles daily. Today we are offering this handmade Big Horn saddle for sale. This saddle was made when Big Horn saddle were made with pride and craftsmanship. They were produced for many years in Chattanooga, Tennessee before closing their doors. It is one of the most ornate saddles that we have seen in a long time. The entire saddle is hand-tooled with the classic oak leaf and acorn pattern. The skirt and fenders are both buck-stitched and silver-laced. It has is a very unique two tone color pattern, as you can see from the pictures. The conchos and plates are real Mexican silver and it is not tarnished or dull but clean and super shiny. This saddle does have a makers mark stamped on the fender that you rarely see, there are two makers names stamped: one being Milt Kenner and the other being Hugh Hagan. This saddle does come ready to ride as we have included a leather tie-strap, off-billet and rear-flank strap. The leather is not dry or cracked, but in like new condition. The genuine sheepskin lining is super clean with no holes or wear spots. Overall skirt length is 27 inch. Total weight is 36 pounds. The tree is ROCK solid. The horn has NO wiggle or wobble. The only thing we must make you aware of is: The stirrup leathers have been trimmed. We have taken a measurement from the last set of holes to the center of the seat and measured 36 1/2 inches.
