Super comfortable for the rider and horse, this McCall custom saddle is used for ranching, roping, pleasure, trail, western dressage, colt starting, in the buckaroo style. Holly McClain, originally of Snowmass Village, Colorado designed this saddle. Holly researched the McClellen Civil War saddle & the Passier dressage saddle, creating the Holly Wade. McClellen was one of Lincoln’s generals remembered for his saddle design which kept the Union soldiers’s horses from getting sore backs. This saddle has the following. Padded seat, Lady Wade style skirt with smooth out leather throughout including fenders, no tooling, nickel heavy duty hardware and 1/58 conchos. Additionally, the saddle has Henley flat plate built in rigging, with nickel dees. Bell stirrups, made by Valley Manufacturing are stainless steel. The wood post has a mulehide wrap with cross rope and strap. Underside, is authentic shearling. Saddle comes with back cinch, latigo, billet. Saddle has been well maintained, is broken in yet in a perfect, near new condition. Saddle has a 8 gullet so it is for the extra wide warmblood, like a Oldenburg, Friesian with flat backs. My Oldenburg, a 16.2H hunter/jumper lightly wore this saddle for pleasure, trail. It has also fit a Friesian. This is a beautiful saddle! Weight is about 38lbs. You have 14 days to return the saddle including transit time. That means that you have 4-5 days after receiving the saddle to “trial” & send it back to us. Please don’t wear tall boots or chaps as they might mark the saddle. With all saddles please use a pad when placing on the horse to prevent sweat marks. If you do return a saddle with additional marks or damage- we reserve the right to refuse saddle return and charge the customer for the saddle (depends on the damage) In most cases this really isn’t a problem- just take care of the saddle- they cost thousands of dollars. Please remember saddles have a total 14 day trial and return period. After the initial saddle trial period- ALL SALES ARE FINAL. We will be happy to assist you.
