Well loved Roohide hard seat reining saddle! Yes, I said Roohide reiner! We bought this saddle directly from John at the PCCHA Futurity years ago and he described it at a Reiner/cow horse. Absolutely the best best of both worlds! Made by a cutting horse guy who understands how hard seats are supposed to be, with a nice short user-friendly horn. 16.5 hard seat with an awesome pocket, loads of fender swing, punchy square skirts, close contact shirts, full double slightly dropped rigging, punchy long saddle strings, bar wire boarder stamped, Buster Welch cutting saddle tree with short reining style horn, genuine sheepskin lined…. We have had this saddle for many years and it had served us well! The stirrup leathers were replaced a few years ago and the guy made them too long, so I trimmed off a bit to better suit us, by they will still fit a 6′ plus tall person. The saddle has seen LOTS of use, but it’s not been abused. It is sound in every way and ready to go to work. Freshly cleaned and oiled! PERFECT saddle for the ranch classes!!! You get the cool, punchy, cowboy used look without some cumbersome horn in the way or lack of fender swing and lack of user-friendliness like a roping or wade saddle. You get to look cool AND ride effectively! Only parting with this saddle as we just have too many and my husband hasn’t rode for a living in years. I gotta stop hoarding so much stuff!
