Antique High Back, Bear Trap Saddle 13.5 horse saddle rancher

Saddlery Bear Trap Rancher Saddle Vintage 1940-50’s. This saddle offers added security via the swept back swells. High cantle, and deep seat, all built on a wood tree covered bear trap tree. Eagle’s beak tapaderos. Big handsome wood horn (does have a crack line). Attached small saddlebags on back of saddle. It’s a perfect choice for training and breaking young horses, long pack trips, and everyday riding. This is an older high back, bear trap saddle. It is in basically good condition. The leather is good, does have several places of bug taking off the top layer of the leather. Cannot find a makers mark. The saddle strings (latigo) some have been replaced , and many are original. Both Girth straps also been replaced. The skirts are over 28 long. Original Eagle Beak Stirrups with original ties. The fleece is synthetic, may have been replaced. The original lacing for the stirrup leathers has been replaced with blevins type buckles. Don’t miss this classic early 1900s style saddle made. Ask questions before purchasing.
