1990s Used Circle Y Park And Trail 15 Silver Western Saddle Show Pleasure etc

This is a used circle y western saddle. On the metal tab/plate that is up under the front of the left upper skirt it is marked park and trail with the serial number of 3974 1500 0995 05., as shown in the 6th picture. The serial number is also stamped into the leather of the saddle way up by the tree under the left fender. There are 12 pictures in all and the zoom feature is available. Also by clicking on the main picture you will enlarge it and then larger images of all of the other pictures can be seen as well. The saddle is also marked circle y brand shiner, texas on the bottom of both of the fenders and on the very back of the saddle (right behind the cantle). To me the saddle’s seat area measures 15 and i have shown how i have measured it in the 7th picture. The saddle weighs right around 31 lbs. And is right around 25 1/2 long. This is an older saddle and it has been well used — it does show wear. In pictures #11 and #12 i have shown two views of where some little animal has chewed thru the leather there at the very front edge of the seat. The leather though is still firmly held in place as the stitches are not affected. I believe that the seat itself was originally suede, but now 99.9% of the suede has been worn down to almost smooth leather. In the tenth picture i have shown a 3 1/2 section on the back edge of the right fender where the stitches have come undone. There is an identical affected area on the other fender, it also has a 3 1/2 section on it’s back edge where the stitches have come undone. Also on the right fender (the one shown in the 10th picture) there is a 1 1/2 section on the lower front edge of that fender where the stitches have come undone as well. The saddle is well used, but all of the leather is. The stirrup leathers do show quite a bit of wear and most of the wear marks are from where the blevins buckles have lain (8th picture). The stirrup leathers do have some wrinkling of the leather and some tiny hair sized little itty bitty surface cracks as well. But all of the little tiny surface cracks are very shallow — the wrinkling of the leather is more easily seen. Both the structure and the leather of the horn is tight, no movement in either. Although the rawhide edging of the top of the horn is very worn looking. The fleece is all there and in nice condition. One of the stirrups is in good condition, but the other has a 2 1/2 split in the leather on the back edge of it’s foot pad. The actual leather of the stirrup that is directly underneath this split area of the foot pad is also split (about 2) and the underlying wood of the stirrup can be seen. There is a silver toned cantle plate and it has the name brooke engraved into it. The cantle plate does have some scratches on it, but the silver toned corner plates on the skirts are in nice condition. I do have pictures of the underlying fleece and of the stirrup with the split leather, but unfortunately i ran out of room in the picture gallery to add them. But i can easily send them to anyone that is interested.
