Edward H. Bohlin Western cowboy Saddle

This is a very good, lightly used, well marked Bohlin saddle, with a good big 16 inch seat. I have ridden this saddle and it fits a horse very well and is very comfortable to ride. The leather is still soft and supple and you could saddle a horse with it and ride or work out of it if you wanted to. Of course, a lot of folks would want to decorate with it, and it looks plenty good enough for that too. The wool lining is still good as well. It has a sterling silver rope keeper buckle with the old “football” shaped Bohlin Hollywwod mark and six sterling silver slotted conchos for the saddle strings. The tooling is beautifully done and the rich brown color of the leather is very appealing. It has a drop style rigging. The original flank strap is on it. It has had a couple of extra holes punched on each side of the front edge of the skirts underneath the front conchos. They don’t hurt or affect anything, but they’re there. The Bohlin makers mark on the seat is clear as a bell and it also has the pat’d new departure stirrup swing stamped on it. I’ve personally never seen another with this stamped on it. This saddle would be very comfortable for an average size person on up to a larger person to use and ride. This type of Bohlin saddle doesn’t come around very often, so don’t miss this chance to own a saddle from one of the most famous saddle makers/silversmith’s of all time. Any questions, please ask.
